If you are a UCC staff member, you can be awarded a micro-credential [digital badge] for taking Brainpower. There are two compulsory (but very straightforward!) elements to obtain your digital badge micro-credential.

*Please note: the assessment of this Digital Badge is only available to UCC Staff, external users do not have access to the assessment.

Firstly, you are required to successfully complete the 6 question quiz relating to each of the 6 modules. The questions are very easy.

Secondly, you are required to submit a short reflective account of your learning from Brainpower. Please discuss one potential application of knowledge from Brainpower to your work practice with specific reference to the three learning outcomes below.

Describe brain development as it relates to students in higher education institutions.
Identify the risks and opportunities of contemporary socio-cultural contexts relating to students’ learning.
Explore practical strategies for enhanced student success and the development of graduate attributes through curriculum design, learning, and teaching.

You are required to reference at least 5 of the supplemental resources that are provided. The word length is 1000 words. The reflections will be evaluated [marked complete/incomplete] by badge designers Dr. Eithne Hunt, Dr. Samantha Dockray, and Professor Yvonne Nolan.
