Ask yourself

Do you want to get your poetry, definitions or notes read to you by your phone on the bus journey home from school to make your homework take less time?
Would talking to the computer to have it type your project work suit you?
A free mind mapping program could make study and revision much easier. Would studying your own mind maps on your phone with videos and sound files to help with your revision?

If you answered yes to any of these questions this course has something to offer you to make your/your students' learning easier. In this course, aimed at TY students and educators, we offer training, links and advice to make reading, writing and studying easier for students using various free technologies either already on your computer, your phones or technology that is free to download.

To allow you to make the most of these excellent, free learning tools we also examine some fundamental IT skills including touch-typing and file management. In order to utilise technology for learning it is also important that teachers are familiar with sharing their teaching and learning materials digitally.

How to use this course:

Teachers can explore this course videos, links and materials with students in class, exploring new content together.
If preferred. teachers can view the videos/content on each section of the course, adapt it for your school/class and circumstances.
Perhaps teachers could explore parts of this course as part of the school's "Croke Park Hours."
Students are welcome to take on the course themselves.
